Skincare: I want less plastic!

Skincare: I want less plastic!

Want to reduce the number of plastic bottles in your bathroom? It’s time to go zero plastic or at least move towards it! In addition to saving space, this allows you to consume more responsibly.

Because plastic is often associated with environmental pollution. And let's say that in the bathroom, it tends to be omnipresent: shower gel packaging, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste packaging and toothbrush...

More aware of our impact on the environment, more and more of you want to adopt a more responsible beauty routine. At Avril, we help you reduce your waste and limit your use of plastic, by offering you a range of treatments, body and facial cleansers, as well as a range of reusable, more sustainable accessories.

A reduced plastic range

Shampoos, conditioners and solid soaps, chewable toothpastes, wooden and aluminum accessories... Our range now includes more than 70 committed and accessible products to help you move towards more responsible consumption.

Facial treatments

As for facial cleansers, Avril has developed a range of cold saponified soaps. This solid soap is plastic-free, available in recyclable cardboard packaging. Coconut oil, olive oil… It is developed from ingredients of natural origin.

In terms of care, there are also refillable products like the lip stick: you just need to slip a refill into your stick rather than buying the whole thing each time. For the same use, we offer a lip balm in aluminum packaging, this material in addition to being light, has the advantage of being infinitely recyclable without loss of material.

A little extra in passing: the majority of Avril cosmetic treatments are certified organic and made in France (less transport, reduced CO2 consumption).

Body and hair care

As for body cleansers, Avril also offers an alternative:

● solid dermatological bar, available in recyclable cardboard packaging that can also be used on the face

● the range of cold saponified soaps, this time for the body, available in recyclable cardboard packaging

● solid shampoos and conditioners (for all hair types) also available in recyclable cardboard packaging

In terms of hygiene, we find balm deodorants in aluminum pots, as well as chewable toothpaste (aluminum pot too) and its refill sachet. A bar of shaving soap is also to be discovered.

Note: solid products allow better control of use (vs. the plastic bottle which sometimes spills too quickly...) They generally last longer, which also makes them more economical.

Reusable accessories to say stop to disposable

● To prevent solid products from melting on the edge of the bathtub or sink, we can only recommend the suction cup soap dish. The sisal soap net, for its part, allows you to group together all the leftover soaps to use them until the end!

● Our makeup remover squares are made from certified organic cotton, washable and reusable (no more single-use disposable cotton squares)

● No more single-use, disposable cotton swabs, at Avril, we offer a bamboo ear cleaner, more durable, and reusable available in several colors for the whole family

● Finally, in terms of dental hygiene, our rechargeable head toothbrushes are available in soft bristles or medium charcoal bristles.

By the way, what is the problem with plastic in our bathroom? Plastic packaging is often single-use packaging, quickly finished, quickly thrown away, and whose disposal is not so easy. At Avril, we are working on developing a cosmetics offering in recyclable packaging or in more sustainable reusable materials and packaging (cardboard, aluminum, glass).
